Since becoming it’s President and Owner twenty five years ago, Jay has steered Bonus Electric with visionary leadership and unwavering dedication. As the company’s first State Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer, he built an engineering department from the ground up, establishing a cornerstone of innovation and technical excellence. By fostering a problem-solving culture, he has instilled resilience and adaptability, enabling Bonus Electric to successfully navigate challenging industry evolutions and turbulent economies over nearly three decades.
Through his leadership and strategic vision, Jay has defined Bonus Electric’s identity and direction, shaping its legacy as a dynamic and enduring leader in the electrical industry. Jeff Corbel
Vice President of Business Development
Jeff has been in the electrical contracting industry since 1990, transitioning from field roles to office leadership in 1998. As a dynamic executive and former company founder, he oversees operations and growth, drawing on decades of experience in industrial, tenant improvement, and high-rise projects.
Jack Haberkorn
Director of Operations
Jack Haberkorn has more than a decade of industry experience and a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He specializes in operational strategy, project management, and streamlining processes to drive efficiency and deliver successful projects from start to finish.
Tom McKinney
Vice President of Mission Critical
Tom leads the delivery of data centers and complex infrastructure projects for leading hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise clients. His experience in design, engineering, and construction, he has technical expertise, collaborative leadership, and certifications in facility management and Uptime standards.
Mark Edwards
Senior Superintendant
With 31 years in the industry, Mark serves as Senior Superintendent and holds a City of Chicago supervising electrical license. He has extensive experience overseeing large-scale installations and upholding the highest standards of code compliance, safety, and project efficiency on every job.
Tim Hemkes
Senior Superintendant
Tim has 21 years of field experience as a licensed journeyman and superintendent, with a background in heavy industrial, high-rise, and mission-critical projects. He manages high-pressure job sites, overseeing diverse trades and maintaining seamless project execution even under tight deadlines.
Steve Kaczmarski
Mission Critical Superintendant
Steven brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in power systems for sectors including data centers, healthcare, and transportation. He is renowned for his detail-driven approach, ensuring system reliability, operational continuity, and the delivery of complex critical power projects under demanding conditions.
Luke Haberkorn
Estimating Department Head

Eric Kastengren
Head of Estimating Mission Critical
Eric offers 28 years in the industry and specializes in data centers, tenant interiors, and large-scale estimating. He is a Licensed Master Electrician in Texas, a LEED Accredited Professional, and is recognized for his leadership on complex conceptual estimating and constructability efforts.
