Overview of Position:

Draft 2D drawings in AutoCAD on various projects that are used by the field electricians throughout the duration of the projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Self-motivated; requires little direct supervision.
  • Knowledgeable and proficiency of AutoCAD drafting software, including Trimble.
  • Ability to read electrical plans & specifications, and familiarity with a variety of electrical systems and terminology.
  • Ability to handle several projects at the same time.
  • Knowledge of building components and systems.
  • Draft electrical designs, primarily using computer-aided design (CAD).
  • Collect and synthesize all data necessary for drafts.
  • Prepare documents.
  • Review accuracy and ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Meet deadlines.
  • Work closely with BIM Coordinator and Engineer throughout the construction process.

Specific Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Assist Project Executive, Project Manager & BIM Manager in compiling as-built drawings for multiple projects.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Project Executive, Project Manager, BIM Manager and field Foreman to resolve issues.
  • Use AutoCAD software to compile electrical coordination drawings and sketches for the duration of a project.
  • Compile dimensioned project coordination drawings that include, but are not limited to the following: electrical power racks, lighting racks, special system racks, junction box locations, light fixture locations per architectural drawings, engineer drawings, switchgear locations, floor box locations, etc.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and related software applications.
  • Well-developed technical abilities.
  • Sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Expertise in collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint & Teams.
  • Keen attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction, business, or a related field, is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a CAD Drafter – preferably in electrical industry.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Strong familiarity with electrical symbols.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem solver and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects on a timeline.

Overview of Position:

Provides overall management to multiple projects, establishes project objectives and policies, organizes, and leads the project team.  Develop and close opportunities.

Main Duties & Specific Responsibilities:

  • Receive Job Information from Estimating (scope/pricing/estimated hours/ etc.).
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Review project contract drawings to become familiarized with scope.
  • Present accepted scope information to project team at beginning of project.
  • Review/price/estimate COR’s/obtain CO’s for any changes to scope.
  • Submit RFI’s to Owner/GC during project.
  • Review/monitor job costing.
  • Present bi-monthly job costing reports to Owner.
  • Answer Client electrical code questions.
  • Prepare and review submittals for spec compliance prior to submittal for approval.
  • Verify submitted and approved materials are being ordered/installed.
  • Schedule release for all material once approved from Owner/GC/Engineer based on project sequencing.
  • Provide written releases for major material orders (light fixtures, switchgear package, generator).
  • Provide ComEd with all required paperwork for permanent and temporary service.
  • Pull permit for temporary electrical service.
  • Attend periodic BIM coordination meetings with BIM Coordinator.
  • Assist Foreman in layout / design of project for BIM / CAD coordination.
  • Review project MEP BIM coordination schedule.
  • Attend project meetings for duration of project.
  • Communicate frequently with clients and design team to develop & maintain relationships.
  • Develop a strategy for executing the project within budget and schedule to achieve client requirements.
  • Make certain all work is performed within the allotted project schedule.
  • Perform jobsite visits on a weekly basis if possible.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Work with Foreman daily and provide project information as needed.
  • Compile and submit project close out information / paperwork.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, business, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of project management and related experience – preferably with experience in the following niches –
    • Commercial
    • Residential high-rise
    • Senior Living
    • Hospitality
    • Healthcare
    • Retail
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem solver and extremely resourceful
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

  • Produce 3D REVIT models for coordination with MEP trade contractors.
  • Attend coordination meetings and possibly can lead coordination meetings for general contractors.
  • Coordinate with field Foreman and update coordination drawings per coordination meetings.

Overview of Position:

Provides aid and support to warehouse & logistics.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Have Illinois Class C CDL
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • Zero history of DUI or major driving violations
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
  • Experience driving in Chicagoland area

Main Duties & Specific Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for daily deliveries to and from jobsites.  Work with Warehouse Manager & Warehouse workers to make sure trucks are ready for next day deliveries.
  • Operate forklift on as needed basis to relocate / organize warehouse
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Inspect truck before and after the trip, and record any defects found
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Load / Unload truck
  • Return to shop when route is finished and assist in warehouse

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CDL – Class A or Class B or Class C
  • Certificate from an accredited CDL school
  • 21 years or older
  • Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
  • Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds repeatedly throughout day
